Participation in the competition was not the only attraction of the stay in the mountain resort. All participants could take advantage of other winter sports. Ride on the trikke-skki enjoyed considerable interest. This new sport discipline attracts increasing number of enthusiasts, while the ride itself provides a lot of excitement. Guests could not miss ride on snowmobiles as well. Driving “mechanical sleigh” provides great fun and the roar of the engine itself ensures a surge of adrenaline. The toboggan-run was available all the time for fans of tobogganing where they could practice or just simply enjoy downhill ride. Active winter leisure in the picturesque, winter scenery brings great joy and fun.
Original ideas for winter sports are a merit of Active Hotel in Muszyna which offers splendid leisure facilities.
Awarding medals and choral singing We are the Champions by Queen ended the award ceremony. In the evening, names of the winners were announced who received commemorative cups and medals. Dinner and entertainment favoured integration of the roofing environment from the entire Europe. The real hero of the evening was also George Cojocaru who in order to reach IFD Winter Olympics travelled over 5 thousand kilometres by plane, bus and... hitch-hiking. Great words of appreciation and respect for our Romanian colleague. A performance of young artist Ewa Novel with band, having in its repertoire jazz, blues and pop music added splendour to this evening. The performance pleased all guests and brought them into good mood, while the party lasted until late at night.
See you again during the next edition of IFD FAKRO Winter Olympics
Foreign guests who spent few days in the Beskid Sądecki mountain range found this time very enjoyable. Picturesque area of southern Poland as always charmed all the participants. Very interesting and professionally organized event. A warm and friendly welcome, therefore we would love to come back. We have made numerous friendships with participants, both in professional and social level - say French journalists Sophie Bovillard from Planète Bâtimant and Stéphane Miget from 5 Façade.
Extraordinary winter landscape, just as I imagined, I am willing to come here again – adds Ingo Dubielzig from Germany.
