IFD FAKRO CONFERENCE

AND

1st IFD FAKRO SKI WORLD CUP 2010


 1st International Championships for Roofers has finished.

 

It was blue sky! That's what is said by the participants and supporters of 1st IFD FAKRO Ski World Cup championship. Competition took place on February 6 on the slopes of Jaworzyna Krynicka. Among 45 participants, representing 7 European countries, competing in giant slalom in men's category the best was Grzegorz Kurek. Second place was taken by Józef Jarkowski also from Poland. On third position Udo Schneider from Germany was placed. Among women, the best was Magdalena Florek representing Poland, Second place was won by Karina Deakova representing Slovakia, and the third one by Karin Gamma from Switzerland. In team classification, the representatives of Switzerland occurred to be the best, Slovakia was second, and Poland placed itself on the third position.

Foreign visitors were impressed by the professionalism of FAKRO company, both in terms of organization of the championships, as well as the conference, which was attended by nearly a hundred representatives from twelve European countries, representing roofing industry. This international meeting was a chance for discussion and exchange of experiences with roofers from national federations associated in the IFD.

During the conference, representatives of the roofing trade were discussing important issues and actions of IFD concerning the construction market and the cooperation of the association with FAKRO Company. The visit in the company was one of the program points at the FAKRO company site. The guests who visited the company did not hide their interest especially in the innovative process of production by use of the most innovative technologies.

The stay in the region of Nowy Sącz was very successful. Willingness of organizing International Championship by the FAKRO next year was enthusiastically adopted by the participants.
